Working with family and caregivers
Very often the person calling us is not the person living in the house. An adult child in another state, a daughter across town, a case manager at a facility. We can text a note after each visit so whoever is coordinating knows the cleaner came and what got done. If something looks wrong, a leak under the sink, a bulb burned out on the stairs, we say so.
We are cleaners, not caregivers, and we are clear about that line. We do not lift or transfer anyone, handle medication, or provide personal care. What we do is keep the kitchen, the bathroom and the floors in a condition that makes staying at home easier. Billing can go to a family member while the visits happen at the resident's address, and the flat price makes that simple.

Will the same person come every time?

Can you clean an assisted living apartment?
Yes. We clean private apartments in assisted living and independent living buildings across Central Massachusetts, working within whatever the building requires for check in and hours. Many residents want the bathroom and kitchen done thoroughly and prefer we leave the rest of their space alone.
My mother is uneasy about strangers. Any advice?
Be there for the first visit if you can, and introduce the cleaner yourself. After that it is a familiar person on a set day rather than an unknown. Start with a short visit covering the kitchen and bathroom, then add rooms once she is comfortable with the arrangement.
