Four seasons here, four different messes to fix
A once or twice a year reset that follows the New England calendar, booked as a single flat priced visit with an agreed room list.
Spring cleaning is a real thing in Central Massachusetts because the house has been closed since November. Windows come open in April and everything that settled over the winter moves. By the middle of May, tree pollen lays a yellow film across every sill, sash and screen, and washing a window before that is finished just means washing it twice.
The other two are less famous and just as useful. July and August put humidity into basements, which shows up as a musty smell and a haze on shelving and stored boxes. October and November bring leaf litter through the door and the first wood stove ash of the year onto the hearth and the floor around it. Pick the season that matches your problem.
What the visit covers
- Screen panels wiped down before they go back in
- Porch door glass cleaned on both faces

Booking it as a single visit or a habit
Most people book this once, in April or early May, and treat it as the annual reset. Some book twice, spring and late October, and skip a deep clean entirely because the two visits keep ahead of the buildup. Either way the price is quoted flat after we talk through what you want covered, and the room list is fixed before the day arrives.
Say what you want out of it and the visit bends that way. One client wants the porch, the screens and the sills. Another wants closets emptied and shelving wiped. A third wants the basement and nothing else. Since the rate is per visit and not per hour, spending the whole morning on two rooms costs the same as spreading it thin across eight.

When is the best month to book this?
Late May, once the pollen has dropped and before the humidity arrives. April works if you cannot wait, though windows may need a touch up later. For a fall reset, aim for the last two weeks of October, after the leaves are down and before the heat runs constantly.
Do you wash windows inside and outside?
Interior glass, sills, sashes and tracks are standard. Exterior glass gets done on ground floor windows that open inward or lift out safely. Second and third story exteriors need ladder work and are outside what this service covers, so we will say that plainly at the quote.
Can this replace my regular cleaning service?
For a lightly used house, twice a year can be enough. For a full household with pets and daily cooking, it will not hold. A fair test: if the kitchen floor bothers you two weeks after a visit, you want a regular schedule instead, and the seasonal work becomes an extra.
