Lancaster mudrooms earn their keep every single winter

Lancaster is the oldest town in Worcester County and it still feels like farmland with houses on it. Long dirt driveways, detached barns and outbuildings, and mudrooms that carry the entire winter from November to April. Sand, salt, wet dog, and boot grit end up on the same twelve square feet, and if that entry is not handled first, everything after it gets dirty again on the way out.

Houses here range from antique colonials near the town green to postwar and newer construction toward the South Lancaster side and out along Route 70. Older places mean plaster, wood floors with gaps, and radiators. Newer ones mean more bathrooms and more floor. We also clean offices, churches, and small commercial buildings in town. Distance is not an issue for us since Lancaster is a few minutes from our base in Berlin.
